Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and purchase from Volo Pacific ("Volo Pacific", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Academy Limited, Level 36, PCCW Tower, 979 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. By placing an order or using volopacific.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Our service

Volo Pacific sells prepaid mobile data plans delivered as eSIMs (embedded SIMs). Our eSIMs are a fully digital product. Network connectivity is provided through our upstream connectivity partner and its local mobile operators; Volo Pacific is a reseller and does not operate the underlying networks.

2. Eligibility

You must be of legal age and have the capacity to enter into a binding contract in your place of residence. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

3. Device compatibility (important)

eSIMs only work on devices that are eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked. It is your responsibility to confirm your device is compatible before purchasing. We publish compatibility guidance on the Site. Plans purchased for an incompatible or locked device are not eligible for a refund (see Refund Policy).

4. Orders, pricing and payment

  • Prices are shown on the Site and may be displayed in your local currency. The currency charged at checkout is shown before you pay.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel any order, including where fraud or abuse is suspected.
  • Payment is processed by our third-party payment providers. You authorise us and our providers to charge the total shown, including any applicable taxes.

5. Delivery and activation

  • After payment is confirmed, your eSIM (QR code and installation details) is delivered digitally to your email and account, usually within minutes (see Shipping & Delivery Policy).
  • Validity: each plan is valid for up to 180 days before activation. Once installed and activated, the plan is valid for the data allowance and duration stated for that plan.
  • An eSIM can be reinstalled from the same QR code if deleted from your device, but cannot be transferred to another device.

6. Acceptable and fair use

You agree to use our plans only on a personal smartphone for ordinary travel data use, and not to:

  • use the service on non-smartphone hardware (e.g. routers, IoT/M2M devices) unless the plan expressly allows it;
  • generate abnormal or excessive traffic, or use the service in a way that disrupts the network;
  • resell, redistribute or commercially exploit a plan without our written consent;
  • use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Plans are provided subject to the fair-use and acceptable-use rules of our upstream partner and the local operators. We may suspend or terminate a plan, without refund, where abnormal usage, abuse, fraud or a breach of these Terms is detected.

7. Service provided "as is"

Mobile data coverage, speed and availability depend on local operators and conditions outside our control. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free connectivity, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volo Pacific's total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the affected plan. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss arising from network unavailability, device incompatibility, or your failure to follow installation instructions.

9. Refunds and privacy

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, and your personal data by our Privacy Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

The Volo Pacific name, logo, brand assets and Site content are owned by us or our licensors and may not be used without permission.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on the Site at the time of your order.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
