This Privacy Policy explains how Volo Pacific, operated by Academy Limited, Level 36, PCCW Tower, 979 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use volopacific.com. We handle personal data in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and applicable data-protection laws.
1. Information we collect
- You give us: name, email address, billing/contact details and order information when you purchase or create an account; messages you send to support.
- Collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, and site-usage data via cookies and similar technologies.
- Payment data is collected and processed directly by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use your data
- to process and deliver your order, including provisioning your eSIM through our connectivity partner;
- to provide customer support and manage your account;
- to detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations;
- to send service messages, and — only with your consent — marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed to run our service, including with:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders;
- our payment providers (e.g. card processors, PayPal);
- our eSIM connectivity partner (eSIM Access / its operators), to issue and activate your eSIM;
- analytics and email providers; and
- authorities where required by law.
These providers may process data outside your country, including outside Hong Kong. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection for such transfers.
4. Cookies
We use cookies to operate the store, remember your preferences (such as market/currency), and measure site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to fulfil orders, support you, and meet legal, accounting and tax requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or withdraw consent for marketing. To exercise these rights, email hello@volopacific.com. If you are in a region with additional rights (e.g. the EU/UK), those rights also apply where relevant.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
8. Children
Our service is not directed at children. If you are under the age required to contract in your country, please use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the current version is always published on the Site.
